Oscar Reducindo was born in the beautiful port of Acapulco; surrounded by vines, trees, beautiful orb weavers, the singing of birds and crickets, and the sight of iguanas that lazily sunned themselves on the patio of his parent's home. Those moments gave birth to his love for nature, his appreciation for the flowers and the insects, the mammals, the fruits, and the reptiles and birds alike.

Having had over a decade of involvement in various studio arts, Mr. Reducindo developed an interest in working with precious metals, and so, in keeping with his love for nature, his work reflects incredible attention to detail, making sure to include what others may consider irrelevant touches to his pieces, but that can make the difference between one species or another.

One may find him yet hiking through Southern California, enjoying the geographic riches that this region offers, just as well as creating new work on his bench.

Heavy Gel

Heavy Gel

Contact: info@heavygel.com • 312-351-2898

Heavy Gel is a full service design, illustration, and screen printing studio in Los Angeles CA run byJayes Caitlin with loads of help from a myriad of talent.

Heavy Gel started in 2012 in Chicago IL in a huge industrial district loft. It functioned as a collective space for artists, writers and musicians to converse, curate, and work.

We’ve hosted a variety of readings, music, and art shows, in addition to hand crafting posters, books, band merch and packaging.

Since moving to LA we have cut back our programing a bit and are focusing on our print and publication projects. We promise we haven’t lost our taste for noisy guitars, mystery knob boxes or feedback and are still putting together the occasional show and workshop.

Our studio is now a part of Limited Ink who offer a rotation of classes, co-working, private studios, and we’re able to open back up our print studio to the public!

We are interested in working with artists, musicians and clients that share our aesthetic for bold graphics, typography, collage, experimentation, and loud music for collaborations, print and publication projects, exhibitions and curating.

Laura Ann Jams

Laura Ann Jams

Punk rock drummer turned artisanal jam-making entrepreneur Laura Ann Masura is no stranger to turning lemons into lemonade — or, in this case, oranges into Hollywood Marmalade.

Raised in Illinois, where she played drums in many bands in Chicago's indie-rock scene, she was a seasoned pro at winning over jaded audiences and fickle club bookers by the time she landed in Los Angeles in 2004. When her band broke up shortly after her arrival, her well-honed instinct for improvising kicked in. She started taking her service industry career seriously, and while working on a concept for an all-natural hot dog stand, she reacquainted herself with the preserving skills she was taught by her grandmother. Soon she was making her own mustard and relish — and eventually marmalade, using oranges plucked from trees in her backyard. Reminded of her childhood days of making jams and jellies with her mother and grandmother, she made her first specialty jams, with produce and herbs she discovered at the farmers market. Jam-making became a weekly flavor experiment/obsession that filled her cabinets, so she began selling the jams to her co-workers & friends. Her restaurant boss and numerous musician and foodie friends in L.A.’s eclectic Echo Park/Silver Lake neighborhood fell in love with her creative flavor combinations and avidly encouraged her to pursue her jam-making full-time. The hot dog stand was put on hold as she launched Laura Ann's Jams.

A serious motorcycle accident sidelined Masura in 2009, but as she recuperated from surgery she found that making jam was creatively therapeutic. Not only that, word got around about her story, and prominent local blogs began spreading the word about her delicious jams. Los Angeles Magazine, Los Angeles Times and LA Weekly all lauded her fruity creations, and she was the subject of an Oprah Winfrey Network Original Short (“Jam Lady”). One of her jams even prompted a question on the game show Jeopardy. Working simultaneously as a local mixologist and caterer, Masura started crafting original cocktails with her jams — an endeavor that has been greeted with even more accolades from LA Times, LA Weekly and Wall Street Journal.

Masura’s original flavor combinations — Blackberry Bay Leaf, Strawberry Vanilla Bean, Raspberry Habanero, Wild Blueberry Almond — are inspired by excursions to local farmers markets and area farms. She takes pride in making her own jams with all fresh (and, whenever available, organic) ingredients, and is continually dreaming up new ways in which to enjoy her jams. It is truly a labor of love that has friends and fans wondering what she will cook up next.

Stark Graving Mad

Stark Graving Mad

www.starkgravingmad.com

I was born in 1983, in a town in Maine so tiny it can't be found on any maps. I grew up with the love of art and horror movies inherited from my mother, and loud music from my father. After being encouraged to create as much as possible--both artistically and personally--I moved to California in 2003, and from there worked to earn an apprenticeship with a tattoo shop . There I not only learned how to tattoo, but I also about lowbrow art, dirty punks, psychobilly music, and just how important coffee can be.

I've worked in tattoo shops on both sides of the country, until I settled in the San Fernando Valley in 2010. From there I began working with local bands, companies, and venues for everything from merchandise and logo design to gig posters and custom illustrations. I am happiest creating, and trying to teach my young daughter the same punk rock ethos that's been passed down to me.

For 2015, I'm working on expanding my sets of paintings and illustrations. It is a celebration of the creepy goth kid in all of us, because who among us isn't just a little graving mad?

Totally Blown

Totally Blown

www.totallyblown.us

TOTALLY BLOWN is a conceptual clothing company that distresses products with shotguns! The business is owned by Sarah Harris and Cody Montgomery and was founded in 2013. Cody came up with the concept after a mouse chewed crazy holes in one of his tshirts. What once was a boring plan shirt...suddenly became Cody's new favourite piece. He was fascinated with this fact and started pondering new ways to put wholes in clothing...and one day it clicked!

Years later, we are now pushing the limits of fashion combined with conceptual art to present 100% original objects that are utilitarian, beautiful, and challenging. The ultimate goal of Totally Blown is to encourage people to see complicated issues from multiple perspectives and tie them in with the greater picture. We believe in unity. In coming together as a people of one. One is everything. Everything is one. It's quite simple. Through this liberating fact...we've created a logo and a whole new mind set for life. Observe. Spread that message without the confines of a single language.

At the same time TOTALLY BLOWN is sourcing all of our textiles right here in the USA. We also distress, dye, bleach, sew, and alter everything by hand and hire friends in our local community of Joshua Tree to help us along the way. It's a lot of work...fighting a war (so to speak) against an army of clothing. But it is an endevour that is so much more rewarding than just making something that looks cool. At Totally Blown we are challenging conventions...and that's what keeps us going!

TOTALLY BLOWN was founded in 2013 after Sarah and Cody met and fell in love and decided to throw away their boring lives and follow their dreams to own and operate TOTALLY BLOWN. They moved out to the desert frontier town of Joshua Tree, California in search of inspiration, space, and fewer distractions. TOTALLY BLOWN took off like a rocket in it's first year and produced and sold close to 3,000 one of kind items.

Cody and Sarah continue to work exclusively on making radical clothing and are having a blast doing so! Thanks so much for your support, feedback, questions, ideas, etc. Let us know if there is something you would like Specially Blown! We do custom orders!

We also sell Wholesale!

So tell your friends!

And quit your job and follow your dreams!

EVERY DAY IS A RAINBOW!

SO SHINE FORTH!
